The brothers Bogomir and France Magajna - writers

In Gornje Vreme, in the birth house of the brothers Bogomir and France Magajna there is a memorial room dedicated to the two writers. Children are especially fond of recalling younger brother Bogomir’s story of Brkonja Čeljustnik, a goodhearted wild man who lived in the Škocjan caves

In the house where they were born, the household is called at Oštarijevih. Bogomir Magajna was a neurologist, a professional storyteller and writer, who has seared in the children memory and imagination with the story of Brkonja Čeljustnik, wild-hearted man who is settled in the Škocjan Caves. In addition to the stories of Brkonja Čeljustnik, Bogomir literary opus contains many children's books and novels, as well as books for adults.

His older brother, France Magajna was publicist, journalist, editor, translator and writer. As a farmer, well educated in agricultural techniques, he worked in the US, where he was a correspondent for Slovenian emigrant newspapers. After the 1922, he returned home and wrote for a number of Slovenian newspapers. He has reached his literary peak with book "Sad stories of happy Kraševci".
